I am not a green horn with cars, worked on them quite a bit, but with older muscle cars and the money, I want to get it right. And for me, it can get a little overwhelming and I do not want to get ripped off or lied to. So with that said, what are some key things I need to be looking for with and what are some of the things I need to be asking these sellers. I would have to get pictures of the numbers of the vehicle to do a little research. I am currently looking at a car out on the west coast and I want to be prepared before I go all that way. Thanks

Body, body, body, frame, and body. You can buy a whole new engine cheaper than restoring the body on a rust bucket.

If pedigree is important (paperwork) you should do a lot of homework to be able to determine fake paperwork from real.
