I have another question for you guys. I was wondering what size of ac vent hose you have installed under your dash, so I can find out what is the popular size everbody is using in their 70-72 chevelle.

I have a 69 and bought new flexible vent hose at auto zone. I is flexible plastic rather than fiber, but worked very well. I think it was 2 1/2 " .

I have the dashboard out on my '70. The large hose going to the p/s dash vent measures about 3 1/8" actual so 3" hose should work. The small hose for the lap coolers measures 1 5/8" actual so 1 1/2" hose should work for that. I haven't found a source for the orig. type "fiber" hose if your concerned about looking it original. A source for the plastic type hose if you can't find it locally is Nostalgic Air Parts (NAP)
( www.nostalgicairparts.com ). They sell both sizes by the foot.
