I was told this is an "original" 69 396ss car. The tag goes as follows:
ST 69 13637 FM 129xxx (un-dicipherable)
TR 762 (or 752?) 5353 PNT
05C
I hope it's not an original because I just ripped out the BB and tranny in it in favor of something lighter, I'm trying to make it fast.
No way to tell from that information if it is an original SS car.
Need some form of documantation unless the original VIN stamping is on the engine.
Might be stamped vertically near the oil filter.
Have you searched for a build sheet?
*If* it is an SS, just keep everything so it can be put back to original condition.

Too late, got rid of the hood and the intake, carb, hell, even the four speed. How can I tell it's an SS?

Bitchin. So what number is the engine code and what are the engine codes?
If the cars' VIN is stamped on the engine and it's a 396 in 1969, It's an SS because in 69 only SS cars got 396 engines.
You might find a build sheet somewhere.
