The stuff works REALLY well at dropping temps in the engine bay (doesn't change the actual "engine" temp). However, your headers will die quicker when you use the wrap.

Don't remember how much I bought when I did a set, it's been quite a few years.

The header wrap won't change the engine temp..maybe underhood and the header temp itself..but not the engine as Mark said
Also,I have seen quite a few sets of rotted headers from using that stuff.
Cool for mummies, bad for headers :D

Its a great way to ruin a good set of headers

Saw a hole in a tube from using it. Took less than 2 years to do.

Stay away. paint them white like the old school if you have to do something.

And header wrap doesn't handle abrasion well at all.

I wrapped the exhaust on the boat; the canvas boat cover flapped in the wind on the way to and from the storage barn--and wore two holes in the header wrap. This is about twenty total miles of towing.
