I am going to try and attach a jpg. First timer, hopefully it will work. Anyone have or locate a metal tag in the valve cover area? Any ideas on what the alpha stamped represent in relationship to motor etc.? Found this on my 66SS with 396 on the upper middle bolt on the passenger side valve cover. I checked my Fact book prior to the post, any ideas Mike, Dale ......anyone anyone?

Have no idea what it means but that looks like part of hold-down clip for vacuum some tube or wire etc. Those jagged edges hold some plastic part that slips over it.

Thanks for the reply. Appreciate your thoughts and I agree with you on the jagged edge maybe being used for a clip or something. Anyone else got and idea or knowledge on this clip? I guess the clip has me but the K really is confusing.
Anyone....anyone
Thanks all

It looks like a spark plug wire holder bracket with the plastic wire holder missing.

Joe,
Thanks, I think you are right. I will check out a few old magazines I have for better pics. I have looked at some other engine pics of frame off restored cars and found many of them not to have this piece. Maybe it was in wrong location on the valve cover or a small piece that is long gone on some cars etc. Thanks again.
