Thanks for your response. The HH is what seems confusing. The Corvettes had a HH suffix in 66,67 but not in 68. I was hoping somebody would recognize the partial VIN on the alternator pad as a Chevelle partial VIN. I have posted these numbers on both Team Camaro and Corvette Action Centre sites respectively, and have had conflicting results. All castings point to 68 but the suffix towards pre 68. Any thoughts?

HH was also used for Impala in 68 and 69.

HH in a 1968 model is for a Full size car (Impala etc) 327-250 hp with powerglide trans, RPOL 73
