So I WAS planning on making it to the track on Friday to rip on you George, but the trans I picked up yesterday had a surprise that was no where near a good one
I got the pumps off of both trannys and a good surprise was that my existing trans looks like it was rebuilt when the engine was rebuilt around 40k miles ago. Spotless. I kind of Frankensteined my pump though with a couple parts from the new trans...
The flat bearing on the front half of the back side of the pump on my existing trans was replaced by the roller bearing on the new trans pump. I was going to swap the clutches too, but I can't compress the seal on the new clutch to get it into the old pump. No big deal, original one's a bit softer anyway, makes for more stall lol

Onto the bad news! After getting both pumps off and apart, I found out my problem from my existing pump:

But then, like I said, the new trans had a bad surprise of it's own that it was hiding...

So now I have two trannys, not one good gear between them, and Friday is right around the corner. So my plan was to surprise you George and show up anyway. Looks like it won't be happening now since I'll probably have to order a new gear and wait for it to come in.
So you win, for now. But you better believe that once I'm back up and running, it's on :boxing:
