: Driveline angles?

I just installed a new transmission and and driveshaft, now I have a driveline vibration. The place I bought it from has been very good service-wise, trying to take care of this and an issue with speedometer speed. I have measured my driveline angles, and was wondering how close they are to normal. Approximately what should they be? I wasn't smart enough to measure them before taking everything out.

Devin,
Do a search on 'driveline angles' or 'driveshaft angles', then wrap your head with duct tape so it doesn't explode.
I believe that the angles of the crankshaft and the pinion should be equal, If the crank (or trans output) is pointing down (lower at the rear) 5*, you want the pinion pointing up (higher in front) 5*. Angles of the universals should be between 1* & 3*.
You will get varying opinions. Another problem is that the use of terms is inconsistent - up, down, + and - are used differently in different explanations, and sometimes contradict.

Some good info:

More than enough here to completely obscure the issue! It really isn't that difficult, I just found the inconsistent use of terms to be the biggest problem. Basically, you want the pinion and crank parallel, and the u-joint angles at 1*-3*.

Take that Polyurethane trans mount out and put the stock height (OEM) mount back .
