Hey everyone,

The TH400 from my Chevelle looks to be a replacement. There's no aluminum tag riveted to the pass. side, and on the driver's side flange where the VINs are usually stamped I have "18cI 25031". Is this a warranty replacement trans? Any help would be great!

It appears to be from a full-size 68 car produced in the Southgate CA assembly plant.

"18cI 25031"
1 = Chevrolet
8 = 1968
C = Southgate CA assembly plant (produced full size Chevys in 68)
125031 = sequential VIN

Thanks Bill, that makes sense to me. Gotta keep my eye out for a correct trans, I guess!
