I am upgrading my Radiator to a set from Allumintech :) I went with the duel spal fan set up and I need to install the sender unit for the fan in the intake were my temp gauges is, I also have a manual temp gauge in the head but temp seems to varify from intake to head readings, I still would like to keep my stock gauge set up along with the mech gauge and have the cooling fan controlled with the sending unit. seems alot ???? So i am hoping someone knows who might make a combo temp sender one that will work both my stock temp gauge and the fans together.... is there such a item or if someone has a differnet idea please post it.. BTW I have a 67 velle and it has the ss gauge conversion in it, the intake has no other coolant ports holes for another sensor.

Thanks for you help in advance

I've never seen a dual purpose sender. One possible solution would be to leave your gauge sender where it is now. Change the thermostat housing to one with a threaded hole for the fan sender/ switch. The link will show you what I mean : http://www.jegs.com/i/Mr.+Gasket/720/2557/10002/-1

Tom. There is a "port" in either head for a temp. Sender. If you have the stock sender in the left head. Look between #6 & #8 exhaust ports on the right head. Remove the plug and install the fan sender..

The ones that come with spal fan kits are normaly closed at 195 and open at 175
auto zone or car quest may have different units .. but keep in mind if you go low with the off point the t/stat must be rated lower then the off point .. or the fans wont shut off when the t/stat closes at a higher temp then off point ..keeping the block hotter then the off point so a 160 stat would be required .. got it ?
