Sorry, this is a question about the trim tag on my 70 olds cutlass- but i'm not getting very detailed info from the olds sites...

ST 70 33687 G 26662 BDY
TR 947 68A PNT
11A

Could someone decode this for me real quick?
Main questions are- what is the #68 Paint code? I know the A is for white vinyl top...

& what exactly is the TR 947 interior? The car has a very complete and not restored(at least not recently) Ivory bucket seat Interior...

Would the 947 indicate bench or buckets, or does it just indicate the color Interior.

The car has correct factory buckets & center console, and the welded on floor brakets are the original style... Dash & collumn are correct for a floor shift car- Just trying to figure out if it is origonal like it looks or a very good mod job.

I pulled the front seats out last night to get the carpet up to dry it out (and looks like i'll be doing a little POR15 action on the passenger floor board) Tonight i'll yank the back seat... hopefully find a build sheet.

Thanks! graemlins/beers.gif

I think "68" is Buckskin Metallic, sort of a dark brown. See http://www.chevelles.com/years/70/70paint.html. In 1970, Chevelles used different trim mumbers for bucket and bench seats of the same color and material, i.e., 790 for ivory bench and 719 for ivory buckets. I can only assume Olds would do the same thing. So the 947 would be white buckets; white bench might be 946 as bench seats tended to be one number lower than their bucket counterparts. Looks like a nice little Olds from the pics! I'd guess it's original since the column looks to be a floor shifted model - unless someone swapped that out too.
