I have an original std block with above vin out of 70 chevelle, taken out in 70, what is the hp rating and what is it worth, anyone need it? it has a 512 block casting with B-70 casting date? Thanks.

post the vin..the T0403CRV is the engine suffix. The vin would be numbers with a letter... IE 0B123456....maybe someone here owns the car and the block would be worth the most to them!

CRV (suffix) ~ 454/LS6 manual trans
The VIN derivative would be a second stamping below and to the right of the engine ID something like 10R100001:
1 ~ Chevrolet
0 ~ 1970
R ~ Arlington
100001 ~ last six digits of original car's VIN

1969 also had the VIN derivative stamped on the rough casting by the oil filter and have heard some 70's did as well.

Sounds like a very hot property block to me. Looks like another LS6 is going to be built :D
