I have an original console with the horseshoe shifter that I don't need. but I have no idea what it is worth. I looked on Ebay and 400 bucks seems high to me.

Mine is in decent shape. The lid is broke on the corner but everything else seems to be intact.

Any idea what I should ask for it? I will post here before I put it on ebay.

If you have the mounts then it is a little more desirable then most. You really need to post a picture as we cant see what we are looking at....

It really doesn't matter on eBay, those buyers are nutz and bid way over what something is worth.
Start it out at 3-4 hundred and it'll probably get up to two grand.

I think 400 is out of the norm. 300 is more believable but 250-275 would be right with only a little damage.

If you put it on ebay post your auction so we can watch the process...

I think i would ask the $400.00. you can always come down a little. I think a repo setup would cost close to $400 if not alittle more for a complete console with the shifting mechanisim. and yours is original.

I got the console out and cleaned it up for pics. I started researching more after looking at it and it is not a chevelle console. It is for a 68-70 Impala.

You can get the mounts fixed at Hinshaw Chevelle or a few other places. You could fix it yourself by making some mounts out of aluminum or other metal. You can't see the mounts when the console is installed if that makes a difference so they don't have to be perfect.
