I am interested in comparing VIN stampings for Van Nuys cars built during January and February of 1970. Does anyone have pics of their engine pad VIN stamps that they would be willing to share?

My engine was built 10/03/69 and the vin stamp was above the oil filter, vertically in the grainy area of the block. Sorry, no pic, but maybe next week. The motor is in the machine shop right now. The build date is on the pad, not the vin, for my Van Nuys built car.

One more bit of info that I recall, as the block is not in front of me right now. There is a circle in the casting about 1/4" in diameter. The first character is in the center of that circle and the vin reads from top to bottom. Hope this helps.
