I am interested in comparing my January 23, 1970 engine pad stamping to other known original stampings on Tonawanda motors. Does anyone have pics of January/February 1970 assembled motors they would like to share?

Mark is it a Kansas assembled Chevelle as well?

No Rick, this one is a Van Nuys car.

Keep in mind, the VIN stampings can vary from the cars assembly plant to the other plants. The Tonawanda stamps will all be similar. Best if you stick to Van Nuys cars for best similarities unless you only car about the Tonawanda stamp.

I want all Tonawanda stampings to compare broach marks from this time period and engine asembly date/code fonts. My other thread is specific to Van Nuys to compare VIN stamping fonts.

I`m not sure when my car was built, still trying to figure it out but the deck numbers are TO227CRN. I hope it helps.
