: Best deal on Edelbrock LSX headers (68-72)
Derek69SS Apr 29th, 09, 11:34 AM Just a tip to help fellow TC'ers budgets :)
Pace Performance - $519.95 ( http://paceperformance.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=225103 )
Summit and Jegs are both $599. Save yourself $80  If anyone knows of a place that's cheaper than Pace, by all means post it!
pist0lpete Apr 29th, 09, 11:46 AM Nice find! I would suggest calling up summit and letting know the price they have been good about beating prices for me in the past.
Derek69SS Apr 29th, 09, 12:05 PM Summit will price-match them. :)
pist0lpete Apr 29th, 09, 12:27 PM Good deal! So does that mean the LSX swap is in progress Derek?
Derek69SS Apr 29th, 09, 1:11 PM Slowly collecting parts... I won't tear the car apart until I have everything ready to go. There may be some bigger things in the works while I'm at it. I just bought another frame so I can build a 3-link, custom front coilover mounts, and some other custom fabrication ideas ;) I'm doing it the same way I did when I swapped the LT1, except a little more hard-core all around. Right now I'll focus on the fabrication parts that don't cost a lot to do.
pist0lpete Apr 29th, 09, 1:26 PM Sounds like a plan to me, matter of fact a pretty great plan really.
cuisinartvette Apr 29th, 09, 3:53 PM Pace has awesome service...I had a royal snafu with a pulley order, basically I bought through a 3rd party got the wrong parts and of course I cant get ahold of the person anymore. Basically Im out $850.
Mgr (just got off the phone) at Pace is sending me what I need at their cost, no questions asked, (unsolicited too) doesnt know me from Adam
Thats good service.
brans72 Apr 29th, 09, 7:32 PM I paid $509 when I bought mine through Pace.
tom_a Apr 29th, 09, 11:26 PM I paid $509 when I bought mine through Pace.
That's a good price but does Pace have free shipping? I bought mine from Summit along with some other items and I believe it was just the 9.99 handling fee.
Derek69SS Apr 30th, 09, 9:55 AM They do have free shipping, with a handling fee (I think ~$15)
thunderstruck507 Apr 30th, 09, 3:48 PM I wish I had bought those headers instead of the Dougs but they didn't have them in stock at the time and they were more expensive.
At $510-$520 they're well worth it. They do have the o2 bungs correct?
novaderrik Apr 30th, 09, 7:02 PM this should get posted in the "Engine" section and maybe the "Chevelle tech" section in case someone that doesn't read this section will see it..
brans72 Apr 30th, 09, 7:15 PM NovaDerrik them guys don't like us posting about pro-touring subjects/ls1 in the engine area hahaha they are scared to cross over and see the light!
