looking for the original block that came in my 68 ss. My question is what part of my vin will be on the block and where.I know I have a better chance of seeing elvis but you never know.

Tom's 68 Nov 27th, 04, 8:06 PM back in the late 80's I bought a 396 for one of the chevelles I built ended up being the original motor from that car the guy said he bought it from a guy who had spun some rod bearings and replaced the engine and sold that engine to this guy small world or I just got real lucky I'd say I got real lucky as for you good luck I think you are going to need plenty of it ROBC Nov 27th, 04, 9:27 PM I heard some time ago some guy put out a APB on his motor and actually found it through some advertising. I bet it cost him a bunch to find it.I dont have that kind of money though. | ||
