Hey All I searched for the answer to this but just wanted to make sure. On my 72 chevelle I am instaling a autowire plus wiring kit. I'm am trying to figure out the dome lite wiring. Correct me if I'm wrong but here goes. On the drivers side door switch you would connect the white wire from 1 terminal to the passenger switch then a 12v source to the second terminal on the drivers side switch. Am I right on this ??? Sorry if I missed a previous answer to this. Just getting excited, actually getting the headline put in after only 5 years of being without Thanks Dean

NO, do not connect a 12v power to the switch, you will have a dead short. The white wire is the ground return to turn the dome light on. On original wiring, there is an orange and white pair going to the dome light. The 2nd terminal on the switch was used in 68 and later to turn on the buzzer when the key was in the ignition switch when the door was open. Don S

Now correct me if I'm wrong so the white would be the ground and if I remember right that connects to the headlite switch and the other wire would connect to a 12 volt source. On the autowire harness I have there is no orange wire coming out of the fusebox I'm using the autowire power plus 18 circuit and I'm not to impressed with it. There are 3 or 4 wires I either don't have or can't find Anyone else have this problem with this kit Thanks Dean
