When I shut off my 70 SS w/402, it seems difficult to start after it has been warm or warmed up. Sometimes as I try to start it, a big puff of raw gas steam if you will comes out of the cowl. It will start after 3-4 tries. Is this normal for cars like these or do I need to make any carb adjustments? I am planning on changing the plugs and wires very soon, but thought I would ask. My dad who owned cars like these in the past seems to think what I am experienceng is about right though. Just thought I would here other thoughts. Thanks in advance. Tom.
