Does anyone know if a 69SS could have had side moldings?

Certainly not Factory installed.

I have a set of fenders someone sold me
had molding going all the way down to the wheelwell
but there was no holes behind the openings for the parking lights and were not welded shut either
plus the ss holes and molding holes looked to be factory punched
I guess what I'm trying to say is I wonder the same thing too I've never seen one but these fenders appear to be saying something different
I ended up buying some nos ones for use and sold the right side one to someone else who asked the same question I still have the left one though
sorry not for sale still need it for the proper placement of holes for ss emblems on new one

This matter pops up every so often. There have been a few cars out there with the rocker moldings, but I agree that they were probably not factory installed. A fellow TC member (TDW) purchased a 69 L78 a couple of years ago and this car was "untouched" since new, including all original body panels and original paint. That car had these moldings on it. Don't know if Tony has been able to determine how they got on there.

Don...My car did have paint done. The mouldings were installed by the second owner. He bought them from the dealership. I have a 69 Accessories catalog that has them listed in it. When I talked to the second owner, he was in the process of removing a set he had installed on a different car in 72. Funny this should come up now. Mine is in the body shop getting the holes welded and leaded rite now. Don, I will send you some pics when it is done. Looks a lot different without them.
