cleaning the garage and ran into an old points type distributor that i pulled off a car years ago. it is GM [Delco Remy]stamped into the outer perimeter of the housing is :

What means this?
also are distibutors unique to sbc vs. bbc?
i seem to remember they were a common part.

1111169 comes up as a 67 396/325 distributor
7H18 is '67 Aug 18th
Distributors were calibrated with different timing
advance specs(vac and centrifical) for specific engine applications. Different vac units and centrifical weights and springs were used.
The V8 distributors were interchangeable.
