nastynate Apr 24th, 09, 9:10 PM A comp cams xtreme energy 262 for what you have there.
427L88 Apr 24th, 09, 10:57 PM More than that. Flat tappet or roller?
neilyo Apr 25th, 09, 4:12 AM Ok thats great ,.. Hydraulic is what im after thx ,.. Is there a good quality spark plug i should aim for ie heat range and brand ..thks again
pdq67 Apr 25th, 09, 3:03 PM Imho, I'd install a good old Isky Z-30 or a modern solid lifter cam like it and go!
You have the weight, compression, heads, regs and just about everything else except I would use a good old tuned 3310-2 750 cfm carb. instead of the 600 b/c she will like to breath GOOD up top!
As always, jmho.
It's an early Torquer not a later Torquer-2, right?
If it's a TT, again, imho, go w/ either a 300-36 Holley or a Victor Jr. As always, depending.....

neilyo Apr 25th, 09, 5:49 PM HI PDQ67.yeh its a torker not a torquer 2, i was offered a 750 carb 2 weeks ago but thought it would be over carbed with this,.. is the one u advised a vac sec carb??? and do you have any tuning specs i.e jetting etc.. any info would be a milestone ,,.. thks again:)
nastynate May 3rd, 09, 6:10 PM 650 dbl pumper would work great, with 70-76 jets.345ts a/c delco or something that will cross over.
pdq67 May 4th, 09, 8:25 PM I bet a stock jetted 3310-2 out of the box will do nicely b/c it was basically stock on the old 375hp/396's so it will go good by me.

427L88 May 4th, 09, 9:47 PM Neil, street or drag race?
This one covers both, but its BIG for a 327 : http://www.lunatipower.com/Product.aspx?id=1957&gid=280
Or the next size smaller https://www.lunatipower.com/Product.aspx?id=2324&gid=297
Or the Comp XE268. 262 would work, but I'd like to see you over 220 degrees on the intake side @.050
firestone13914 May 5th, 09, 12:14 PM I pretty much agree with the same range that everyone else is recommending. If it were my engine, I would go with the following (as Gene suggested).
219/227 @.050, 262/268 advertised .468 .489 lift
http://www.lunatipower.com/Product.aspx?id=1983&gid=287
The only issue I see is running on pump gas. With 11:1 and a cam like the ones being recommended with stock iron heads, I highly doubt it will run on premium.

pdq67 May 5th, 09, 9:06 PM Again, please reconsider the old Z-30 Isky solid lifter cam b/c I'm here to say, it will scare you up top at 11 to 1 in a 327! It's actually like a close centered 30-30 stock fuelie cam!!
Been there, know all about this and also go w/ a 750 Holley on their old 300-36 up to above 7,200 rpm EASY w/ good valve springs!!
