I want to thank Chip Woyner - Power Steering Services - for the great job in rebuilding my 67 power steering box, changing the ratio to 12:1, and rebuilding the pump to match the pressure required.

Steering is now awesome, no leaks, no pump growling, etc. All came back painted for installation. About a 2 week turnaround.

What did this service cost you if you don't mind my asking?

No problem,

$289 to re-build the PS box and convert to 12:1 ratio
$129 to re-build the PS pump to match the pressure change for the ratio (I was getting a slight growl sometimes and he recommended it anyway).

Shipping was about 40 to him and 40 back.

But it all works perfect. He tanked and repainted both to just re-install. No leaks and the guarantee is for as long as I own the car. Found him on this site in some threads......

Reason I did this was my PS box was leaking at the input shaft - I was going to get a kit and do it myself, but the advice I got was the wear grooves might ruin a new seal pretty quickly. Plus this ratio change is great.
