Hi,I have a 72 elcamino ,was told it is a SS but not sure the vin is 1D80J2L595187, But its from Cal. and I live in Az now to get it titled in this state they require two vin.no. the one on the dash is good ,now where can I find the other one? I'am looking on the frame was told at a body shop that there is one stamped on the frame ,is this true? and if so any idea where. thanks for any help Slim by the way wanting to sell it but need title first. thanks again :rolleyes:

Rear of frame ahead of bumper brace bolt hole, on top. Also should be one behin the heater box.

Note-Its not in the 1D80J2L595187 format, its a derivate of it; 12L595187 is what you should find.

VIN won't identify a SS anyway unless it originally came with a 454, "W" code where your "J" code is in the VIN. The 454 _required_ the SS option.
