I'm in the middle of restoring a 66 SS show Car... I have an original dash pad but is NOT Perfect ... I was thinking about buying a reproduction... How do they fit? Are there any gaps? Are they worth the $130? Or should I stick with the original even so its not perfect? Thanks a lot.

I am not happy with the way the reproduction dash pads look. They seem to fit ok but are too "fluffy". You will have to be the judge on your car. I don't know of anyone that can repair the dash to meet "showcar" standards. There is a company in southern ca. that supposedly does a good job. They are very expensive and I have heard mixed responses, all good, but they still fall short of the OEM pad. You may want to make some calls to advertisers in Hemmings and try to find an original in excellent shape. This is what I did. You may be able to find one for what a repro. costs or a little more. You can dye an original pad any color you need. Hope this helps.
