I have sand blasted the chssis and repainted with East Woods ceramic Chassie Black. my question is, what is the best way to press in the control arm bushings with out messing up the paint?

You should take the bushing out first then paint. Mine were taken out first then blasted and powder coated and then I had the bushings installed. Check Glenn Levers site out for idea's under articles.

I just did the Nova and it would be almost impossible to install the control arm bushings without damaging the paint. If powder coated it might be ok. I bead blasted the arms after removing the bushings and ball joints, then primered. Next was the bushing install on the uppers and the bushing and ball joint install on the lowers. Since I used poly bushings only the shells had to be installed prior to painting. The parts were masked and then the arms were painted.

The lower masked and then finshed
