I can get caliper and rotor from a 70 Camaro. I need disk brake spindles. Which ones can I use to make this bolt on to my 65 Camino?

Use your drum brake spindles. The second or third paragraph here will get you started: http://www.chevelles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=107745

Those Camaro spindles will be a project to install - use the drum spindles as was suggested above, and remove 5/8" from the top caliper bracket mounting boss and you have Disc Brake spindles. Doing it this way saves $ and allows the use of all other stock disc brake parts. There are many posts on here with the specific procedure.

I don't have the tool or room to modify the spndle. Would it be cheaper and easier to buy a new spindle? Most shops charge $70 an hour.

The other question I had was, Will the caliper/rotor from the 70 Camaro fit on the Chevelle/ El Camino spindle. I might go to a salvage yard and see if I can find some spindles

Thanks for your time and info.

you don't need a special tool to modify the spindle- a cutoff wheel or even a hacksaw will work.
just bolt the caliper bracket (available from www.piratejack.net and a number of other places online) to the bottom bolt and use it as a template to cut the upper boss.
with a cutoff wheel, it's about a 5 minute job. with a hacksaw, it will take a bit longer. just try to keep the cut as straight as possible.

Ditto on that one and you can buy a 4.5" angle grinder from HFT for like $12.00's or so.

I have at least three of them somewhere, I can only account for two, He, He!!
