I've been going nuts trying to find a deal on pulleys for my SB to BB swap. The deep groove ones are so expensive that I figured I'd try to use standard ones first with good alignment and Top Cog belts and hope for the best. The correct p/n BB pulleys are eluding me except in reproduction so my question is...

I think my 1966 283 has a short pump, can I use my SB pulleys (Crank, WP, P/S, Alt) on the BB with the short pump?

I know I still have to get the right brackets to mount up the alt and p/s pump but can I use the pulleys I've already got?

TIA, Kirk

Kirk,
I had issues with pulleys a while back, specifically a deep grove water pump pulley. Dave Birdwell hooked me up with the guy below. They are not going to be cheap but you get what you pay for. Here is the info:

"Here is a number from a guy here in town that has about everything you need to build a car. His name is Mike Gibson. "

Since you already have the small block stuff, give it a try..... you'll be pleasantly suprized.

Also, I know Mike. He's from down by Fort Wayne. He will treat you right, but he does get some crazy prices on some of the stuff he sells, but then, so do I.
