:beers:Well, I don’t post much here but thought I would share that I just finished my 388. I had some blow by and decided to make it a winter project. It is running like a top. Put a new Comp 280H and some new 2.02’s, 64CC chambers. I went with Cast this time, 6 of one half dozen of the other I guess. I put a set of Keith Blacks in it but chose to keep my compression down a bit too around 10.5 to 1. Runs perfect on 91 Octane, got tired of adding booster. Put a new Air Gap on it. Running a Holley 750. Initial timing set at 12.4 degrees with 32.3 overall. A set of Doug’s Headers and a nice flowmaster setup for the exhaust. Temp stays at a steady 190. I don’t have a clue where I am on HP or torque and am not too concerned, all I know is it is fun to drive on the street, sounds great and as always I get tons of thumbs up. As my 4 year old says, “dad, I love the velle”.

I will post pictures tonight. I got away with only spending around 1400 dollars for everything. My entire life I thought to get a motor balanced cost lots of money but they did it over near Everett for $238 dollars. Uncle Sam has been keeping me too busy lately. My buddies are giving me hell for painting the motor Silver but that is what my wife wanted and since she bought me the car for our anniversary I couldn’t say no. One of them told me Schucks/Kragen crate motors are gray. I am having a ball. Hell, I put off back surgery until this fall so I can play all summer with the kids, car, and do some fishing. My next investment will be a heater. Not having one limits my driving time.

Thanks a bunch George. I'll check it out. It is cool to hear there is a 2 door post driver up here. I haven’t seen another one in a long time. I went to your website, like the cars. Love the Vette. Maybe one day I will get off the Island and get out and about and meet some people from around here. The wife and I talk about it all the time we just never seem to find the time. My youngest is 4 now so it is a bit easier to get up and go and he loves the "Velle" as he calls it, That and Jeff Gordon, that is his hero. My 16 year old was helping me clean it up last night and thinks she needs to drive it on the last day of school this year..........I quickly told her there would be 300 teenage boys with the hormones flying flocked around her so I told her I had to think about it.
Take care

Jamie
