Looking for suggestions and/or info on converting my 66 to electronic ignition. I have a small block 30 over, forged pistons, small comp cam, balanced with m20 for that old time feel on the street.

I use Pertronix conversions on my points distrubutors and have had good luck with them.

Crane Fireball is less costly than Pertronix and requires no clearance adjustment on install. Less than 20 minutes to install.

Crane XRi...hands down...even has a built in rev limiter and it all fits inside your stock points distributor w/only 2 wires to hook up

plop an HEI in it. parts are available everywhere, so if a module dies it's no big deal.
try replacing your fried Pertronix box on a sunday afternoon when your car is sitting on the side of the road...

I just removed the HEI on my 70 SS454 an re-installed the original points distributor with the Crane XRi...I also bought a spare unit to keep in the glove box....the price of the Crane unit isn't much more than a good HEI module.
