I recently purchased this buick and would like to know as much about it as possible. Any help or pointing in the right direction is greatly appreciated.
The cowl tag reads...
ST 70-44637 8F 00481 BDY
TR 179 B80 50 H PNT
12C 237995 850591
The VIN is 446370Z11----
A few things on the car have been changed (repaint, int. color, etc.) I want to make sure when I get it done everything is original. Thanks for the help.

You might want to try either Buickperformance.com or v8buicks.com. Both are really good sources of info. I have a 71 Buick GS convert. (a 1 of 25 car with cruise and 350 trans) that is for sale and they helped me out a bunch with finding out some rear things and what to note for when I should sell it.

I will take a shot at some of the codes; I'll bet the 8F is really BF, that is common for a Fremont, Cal build and it was assembled in Dec of 69, third week. The Z in the VIN denotes a Fremont car, I can't do any thing with the rest of the codes. Perhaps Dale McIntosh or someone else that decodes on here a lot will be along to help.
