Hi!
Can you please help me decode my trim tag, i can't find all the codes.
And what is the "3" at the top for?

Other plants and other years also have these "extra" numbers either stamped as part of the tag or hand stamped afterwards and nobody yet (that I know of) knows their meaning. Some have suggested the shift number but I've seen numbers well above 3. Some have suggested maybe an inspector - like you find in shoes/shirts/etc "Inspected by xxxx". Bottom line, it's anybodys guess.

Some have said this number relates to the fixture used on the assembly line to hold the body while it moved along the line. Usually present at plants where other GM models were produced and it guided the worker on where to send the body when it was received in the body bank.
