Does anyone have any opinions on using the frame mounted heat sink transmission coolers? I am debating on using one on my Chevelle's TH-350. They mount under the car on the frame rail and I am just wondering if they keep the fluid cool enough. I would eliminate the radiator and radiator mounted coolers and use one of these. Just wondering if anyone uses them?

i used one years ago, never had a problem, but i never monitored the temps either-i have a B & M reg cooler that i mounted under the front frame section, at a slight angle for air, trans temps never go over 165
