did all 70 SS hoods came with hood pins?

did the tail gate have both chevy emblem and SS ornaments?

Only time hood pins were installed on 1970 models was when the cowl induction hood (flapper door) was ordered. The doomed hood was standard SS equipment and did include the pins. 1971 and 1972 this changed to all SS hoods.

Also,the Dealer could have installed hood pins for you on your non flapper door bulge hood too in 1970,after it was delivered to him.

Yes its me. A realtive found that pic just recently and gave it to me.

There were only 3 old photos found in some old papers. I recall having more but cna't find them today.

That was a KC car, VIN was 136370K192352, invoice JK17566, date 5/12/70, PRICE $3954.05. Interesting note on the VIN etc. Back in 1996 I got a new truck from the same dealer. When we were doing the paper work the owner (worked in parts back in 1970 and recalls the car) finds a card in in thier files on this car. On that card its lists the car as a Malibu 350..

I have a non functional cowl hood and mine has the pins and fairly sure that it came this way from the factory. Actually, when I got it, the previous owner had replaced the pin setup with some sort of keylock system. Found the pins in some boxes he had sent with the car and put them back on.

No pins on stock hood like in my photo in 1970. 1971 and 1972 they were included with the SS option on all hoods but no in 1970. That photo does not show but there were no pins on that SS 454. Only came on Cowl Induction Hood, if they are there, someone put them there not GM.
