I have a 72, it has 4 wheel power drums ( I know they suck) I was wondering if anyone knows of a good, or if they even make a performance brake shoe, that will decrease the stopping distance of these damn drum brakes. I want to do a front brake conv. but money is an an issue at the present, trying to get by for now with the drum, or do they call them dumb brakes. Thanks.

why dont you like your power drums Iam in the prosess of putting power drums on my 66 bought a power drum master booster from cpp going to give it a try

They work good. But braking distance is to long, and when they heat up you get that good ole initial brake pull.:(

The Praise Dyno Brake stuff is excellent but not cheap. I think their front and rear kit is $250.
