on my 70 ss el camino ther is a code next to the build date which reads -03804 and next followed by an L.

any help?

Common on Kansas City body plates. The numbers are just part of a longer production sequence number and the L is unknown but not related to how the car was built.

my 70 SS chevelle has the same "L". it`s directely under the paint code. i was hopeing someone whould know what it means.
