I gave my mechanic Mike's Fact Book CD. We are in the final stages of completing my 1966 396/360hp engine. He is very particular and very good (his Funny Car team won their 2nd meet last month). He raved about the CD and said it's a great confirmation and extremely helpful guide for him. He mentioned that my engine will mirror the one in the CD. I'll post pictures ... . The CD is a great restoration tool plus just a lot of fun. I am going to have to pick up another copy, though, since I'll never be able to get the other one back now; and so it goes.

Ditto Bob! It may have been the best $50 I've spent on any of my restorations!! It would be a bargain at twice the price!! graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Thank you guys, all of you! Your kind words do not fall on deaf ears. Have sold 100's and 100's of CDs now and have mostly received positive feedback.. we know it is not without it's flaws as in the photo quality on some pictures did not scan well, but this was a first time deal...the information is there, it's not the Final Word on 66 and 67 SS Chevelle, we have always looked at the Fact Book/CD as a stepping stone or starting point to continue the ongoing exchange of information on these two particular year of Chevelle.. if we had included all of the information and boxes of detail photos gained in over 15 years of research, the book would have been 60 lbs in weight.. so we did the best we could, hoping it would get folks motivated to restore these cars the way the General did, or wished he could have if the line didn't have to move so quickly ;)
Thank you.. too everyone at Team Chevelle and everyone that is a part of ACES that have purchased the Fact CD, Nice to know it is helping folks. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

No, because I do not know anything about those years and I have no interest in those years beyond looking at nice ones... but surely we have enough fellas that are knowledgable enough to do it.. Bill Rose is one of them...it's more work than most could ever imagine though :(

As I certainly appreciate the confidence Mike Crown seemingly has in me. I know what went into his fact book/CD. and quite frankly I have enough trouble rolling out of bed each morning, to do what I need to do to keep this household running and feed my Chevelle obsession.
