Thx to those who responded to my "Primer Problem" post a few days back, I had neglected to drain my water trap and that was the issue. I sprayed some more slick sand today w/no problems! Which leads me to my next question... What should I put over the slick sand prior to painting? It may be a while (several months??) until I'm read to paint, should I leave it alone and just seal before I paint or should I "protect" it some how (a guy at the local paint store suggested I put epoxy over it). Thoughts?

Thx -JR

I would just leave it, and then spray an epoxy sealer when you are ready to spray the color. They say the slick sand doesnt shrink, but it would be good to let it shrink as much as it can before it is topcoated.

leave it alone, let it shrink as said above. sand, seal and then paint.
