All,
I have a 67 Chevelle w/ a 12-bolt rear end, rear disc brake conversion. I picked up the car this way so don't know the manufacturers info.

My question is this:
There doesn't appear to be any e-brake hardware on the setup. Is this common? Most aftermarket setups I've seen come w/ mechanical e-brake hardware. Are e-brake kits available for disc brake kits that didn't come w/ one?

Thanks ahead of time!

Some less expensive conversions do not come with an e-brake. Might have to get creative. Maybe use a line-lock with a toggle switch? Then could press the brake peddle down, turn on the line lock and there ya go. Of coarse you would have to have constant power to the line-lock and hope the solenoid doesn't leak down.

Here's a solution: http://www.einstyn.com/einstyn-chevelle-parts.htm

Or replace the rear calipers for ones with an integrated brake.

The pinion mounted parking brake above is a good option although not very pretty.

There are several calipers available that have integrated parking brakes. It probably wouldn't be too difficult or expensive to find one that would work.

Something you could consider are mechanically actuated go cart brake calipers. I don't think that Wilwood has them on their website, but here is the Jegs listing:

You would need to check the thickness of your rotors to make sure they will fit one of the three caliper sizes. If they do, you could fabricate a fairly simple bracket out of plate steel and mount it opposite your regular calipers. The only thing that would need creativity would be how to mount your parking brake cable. I really wanted to go this route for ease of setup, looks, and performance (the best calipers don't have parking brakes, and the best rotors don't have drum in hat), but unfortunately I had 1" rotors.

I did an extensive amount of research on this for a buddy of mine in a similar predicament. If you let us know your rear disc set-up, I could probably help you find something that will work.
