: need to barrow a transmission jack
66Dreamer Apr 16th, 09, 6:00 PM Does anyone have a floor style transmission jack I could barrow for a couple of days?
I was going to say "tranny jack" but I didn't want Dave jumping all over it....
Thanks
RAMBO Apr 16th, 09, 6:02 PM off subject, have you seen that red 66 lemans convertible running around our neighborhood? I've seen it the last two evenings on 168th with the top down. Sounds healthy.
Anyway, back to our regulary scheduled begging :D

Dave does love to jump on trannies named Jack.
Last time I did an auto I used a sheet of wood in between a regular jack and the pan. With an extra hand (ben) I think you could get it done.

We need to chip in for a TCNW community TRANSMISSION JACK.;) The 200.00 dollar HF 4 way tilting unit would be nice to have access to. I'm thinking I will be getting the 400 worked on soon, and I might bump up the convertor when it happens.
66SSFan Apr 17th, 09, 12:51 AM PM Kevin, I think he has one or the adapter for a floor jack?

We sell those at Lowes  Plywood by the 2'x4' section cut to shape
bcice Apr 17th, 09, 11:08 AM One in Lynwood for $100 and one in Seattle for $275 but they are both the kind you need a hoist for. A buddy of mine has one that is like a floor jack but we are just a tad to far from you.
