While getting some work done at a body shop, it seems that some parts have disappeared, as well as the guy who owned the shop. Anyway, I am trying to find the metal part that goes in the side window jam along the roof line that the weatherstripping attaches to. Can someone tell me what this part is called and/or where I could find it? Thanks in advance.

Looks like you have a 72 4 door sport sedan is that right? If so, 4 door parts like that are hard to find. Give James Hinshaw a call, he may have one or can find one for you, he has a lot of used parts in his basement and in his boneyard. 336-586-0802

Hey, thanks for the reply. No, it is a 1972 2 door hardtop. I will give him a call. Does he have an email address? Thanks.

I think it's called a weather strip retainer

John, email me if you still haven't found a set. Seems to me, I may have a set left over from my frame-off restore just finished last Fall. Mine is a 70, but they should be the same. Dave

Hey John from the picture it looked like it had a back door until I looked again and saw the cross brace and the rear window shape. Sorry about that it was early and I was waiting on the coffee to brew.

Thanks for the replies. I was thinking it was a retainer, but had no luck looking it up. Thanks for the offer Dave. I will email you. Part of the reason I am having trouble locating these parts is I am working in the UAE right now and trying to search on the internet for them. Thanks for the help, John.
