looking at a 1968 super sport in rough shape tag reads:010 st 68-13837 atl 07706 body tr 793 d6 paint THANKS BILL

68-13837 ~ 1968 Super Sport 2-dr sport coupe
ATL ~ final assembly plant
07706 ~ Fisher Body unit number - no significance
TR 793 ~ ? don't show a 793 interior code for any year Chevelle 64-72.
D6 ~ D is Grotto Blue lower color but don't show a vinyl top coded as 6. Top wouldn't be blue by chance? 1 or A is white and 2 or B is black, but I find no "6".

Accroding to my info in 1968 a white vinyl top was coded 6 in the Chevelle line at some plants

THANK YOU ALL, I thought this was a early 68 because the front marker bezels say ss396 instead of 396.I can not post any pictures but the owner says the car was grotto blue with a white vinyl top and a pearl white interior.One quarter has been replaced and drivers side is cut off but a new panel comes with the car.Bad news,this cars dash is rotted from drivers side to the passengers side about 3 inches wide,I've never seen a car so bad.Owner wants $2800.No engine,front seat,windshield or wheels.THANKS AGAIN BILL
