Hey men , its exactly one year to the day that i got my chevelle over to ireland, and what a brilliant year its been . i still have a stupid big grin on my face whenever i go out to the garage , or go to a show , if we are at shows and people want to know who owns the chevelle , my partner liz always says LOOK FOR THE IDIOT WITH THE PERMANENT GRIN ON HIS FACE, LOL. i still remember the chevelle coming out of the container, didnt sleep a wink that night. ive one a fair bit of work on her since i got her, but ive learnt a lot , ive dropped her using lowering springs, new shocks all round .new edelbrook manifold and carb. new electronic ign , smoked out the windows , new window felts all round, antiroll bar bushings, 7 speaker stereo system, chrome crager wheels and bigger tyres, starter motor was the only thing that it actually needed, all the rest of the work was what i wanted to do . had a certain look for the car in my mind from day one, thats nearly finished. i could not have done some of this work too handy without the use of the threads on this board.my biggest thanks has to go to BILL BURKE and DANA BUCINNI , whom i met on this board a year ago, both BILL and DANA get parts for me and get them to me, BILL is an unbelievable man , who is always willing to give of his time and vast knowledge, and has made my work straight forward enough to complete, A HUGE THANKS BILL AND DANA. ive met a great bunch of people here on this site, thanks to all of you for some very interesting posts, i also met some really nice folks when i was over at chevell abration 08, See you all soon at chevell abration 09. i still have that stupid grin on my face now looking back on a fantastic year...http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb213/chevyv8_photo/IMG_0029.jpg,http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb213/chevyv8_photo/IMG_0023-4.jpg,http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb213/chevyv8_photo/IMG_0011-3.jpg,http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb213/chevyv8_photo/IMG_0005-3.jpg,http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb213/chevyv8_photo/IMG_0427.jpg,http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb213/chevyv8_photo/IMG_0052-11.jpg,http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb213/chevyv8_photo/IMG_0069-6.jpg,http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb213/chevyv8_photo/IMG_0002-13.jpg.http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb213/chevyv8_photo/IMG_0037-12.jpg,

Beautiful Chevelle! Was it difficult to import?hi derek , met you last year at chevell abration. hope all is good there for you. it wasnt too hard to import, had to find a car over stateside that i wanted, looked at a good few on the web , we came back to this one a lot of times. had an assessor look at a good few cars for me . you just know when its the right car , call it gut feeling or whatever. the assessor came back with an excellent report on the car, bought it and got a shipping company stateside to do all the work in getting it to the docks and into container and then over to ireland, took about 6 weeks, the longest 6 weeks of my life man.im not joking derek , i didnt sleep for a few days. it was in the docks here for 4 or 5 days before i got my little hands on her. just love that car.

That would be a long 6-weeks  Well worth the wait, I'm sure.

It was nice meeting you at Chevell-abration. :) I'm currently laid-off, but my wife has a good job, so we're still doing OK. We'll be back to Chevell-abration in 2010! Hope to see you again then!

It truly is a sharp looking car. I like the massaged pictures last two) - makes it look ominous. Good choice to bring home with ya!
