You can add like a Performer Intake and Rochester Quadrajet carb. As far as a cam Comp Cams makes a High Energy 260H.

A new intake/carb is a good idea, and so is a less-restrictive exhaust setup, like headers and some glasspacks.

Sure man, get 'er breathing better. Pretty non-intrusive upgrades, not really all that pricey, and will definitely give you more rumble/muscle car appeal.

An exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers, 40 series if you like loud, will give you the sound you want. Flowmaster Amercian Thunder if you want a more reasonable sound.

An upgrade to a four barrel would help a bit. I would go with an Edelbrock Performer intake and a Holley or Edelbrock carb. An Edelbrock 1406 would work. Its a good reliable street perf carb. A Holley 80457 would be my no 1 pic.

I had a 283 in my wagon, flattops, power pack heads, performer intake and cam, 600cfm holley, full length headers and glasspacks.

I didn't really like the way it sounded. Docile idle and just loud off idle...not in a good way.
