This # is stamped on a frame I have 3878327. It is stamped on the drivers side back betwen the last two body mounts.
I was told this frame is from a 66 Chevelle convertible. I can see that it is a convertible frame but would like to confirm the year.
Does anyone know how or where to check this number?

There should be a build date stamped close to the part number. Also check for the partial vin stamp on top of the frame rail same location.
That frame part number became the dealer replacement frame for all 64-66 conv or ht's so the number alone does not verify 66.

Upon further review with the information provided I did find a manufacutr date of April 66. I could not read the day or the other numbers without removing some paint.
All I wanted was to verify the year. Thanks guys.
My 67 body was made in April of 67. smile.gif
