I know it's a small block, but would like to know more about it. I have these numbers:
Front of block: V0216CHT18L563472
Rear of block: 3970010
Any info would be great!

After flipping thru my Chevy by the Numbers book, I found the following:
Block 3970010 was used from 1969-1975 and was available in both 2 & 4 bolt versions. Since you have the 3 digit suffix (the CHT portion of your front of block #'s) I would guess this engine is from 1970-75. 1969 used 2 digits for the suffix.
I didn't find a listing for the CHT part, but a little Google search matched with Camaro's with a manual transmission, for what that's worth.

That casting number is listed for two or four bolt mains. You would have to pull the pan to check.
