Can you ID my freinds BBC. I searched mortec and nastyz28 and could not find the number. Maybe a replacement block? I don't know. Here are the numbers
10522ORR.
It might be an 71 LS6 block because it is supposed to match the heads he has. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Chris

...and it's probably also a letter T at the beginning.

71 Chevelles didn't have any suffix of "xRR". The LS5 is CPA (man) and CPO (auto) while the 71 LS6 was CPY (man) and CPZ (auto).

I also see a 71 LS-6 M/T as CPP and A/T as CPR
Way too many possibilities... smile.gif

This was done at a cruise, just looking behind the alternator and those are the numbers it oculd be. Also, what would the T mean at the beginning.
If it is CRR (which I will check on Tuesday), He has 71 LS6 heads and a 70 LS6 block. Hes got some money in that motor, parts or not IMO.
Thanks,
Chris
