I have a 69 SS clone car that i just pulled the old motor out of. I am in the process of detailing and prepping the engine bay. My problem is that the box for the heater core was almost touching my old SHORT valve covers on my 402BB. My new motor wil have tall valve covers that will most certainly hit on the bottom left corner on the passenger side. I have my 6AL box and coil mounted right above the box. My heater hoses go way over on the left side almost in the corner right under/behind the hinges. I have looked at a bunch of engine bay pics both here and Ebay and have not seen any that resemble my set up. Everything I see has the heater hoses going right next to the valve cover. I would like to remove the whole box and the core but cannot find a cover plate to close it up. Has anyone had any similar problems and what can I do to clean it up. I do not care about heat as I only drive my car from April to October. Thanks for the help.
