Here's the number as i can read it in the ebay ad:

88648860

And the link to the ad.....

What is it? (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7915289440&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT)

Trying to figure out if this is a 230 or 292 head.
If it is a 292 would this ruin the compression ratio on a 83 250. I have the intergrated head on my 250, hence my interest in this.

Thanks

This link may help has a list of blocks and heads
http://www.butlers-a1.com/chevym.htm

Looks like "3864886" a 230 head to me.
Closest 292 head is looks like 3864890

The extra end digit you have as a 0 is the screw head indent, you can see the other one in front of the numbers.
I would get a clarification on the exact number from the seller.

John, I have 2 extra engines, a 230 and a 250. The 250 is presently running in my car. I'm gettting another drive train and will need to get rid of these. Your welcome to them for shipping cost, if you'd like them.
