Is as close to what I want that I can find locally. Remember this is canuk$ so would be closer to 8-9k US$. I have been looking for a few months now and have seen a lot of overpriced roaches. Is this a fair deal ?

Hard to say based on those pictures and the brief description, however based on what I see I would say it's a fair price. I suggest you go see the car and look it over really good, if it truely is a rust free car and runs good I would say go for it! Even if you found a car a little cheaper but needing rust repair your going to spend much more in the long run. Better to spend a little more up front on a rust free car. Just my .02 worth. Good luck and let us know how it turns out!

It looks nice, my Malibu has the same side trim. This car has a 350 engine so as you know it's not a numbers matching car, I'm not sure how much that takes off the actual value of the car but I would think the car would be fast. There is probably rust at the bottom of the front and rear windshields. IMO 8k would be a good deal, good luck and keep us posted.

Spoke with the owner by phone and he gave me more details. The car has some rust at the lower windshield area, and a small spot on the right lower fender. The quarters and drivers floor were done ~7 years back by the previous owner. Needs a new headliner. Frame is solid (a rarity around here it seems) Otherwise complete.
Average 350 engine with powerglide. This just might be the car for me. Of course originally thought i was going to pick up a clean runner for $5 K:noway:

Theres an original owner 67 malibu on kijiji edmonton, $15k (CAD) though...

edit: also a 67 Beaumont on kijiji vancouver, been there a while, maybe he'll lower the price...
